KINGSFORD, Mich. -On 4/21/2026, at approximately 11:21pm, a 911 call was placed about a structure fire in Kingsford.
From a press release by Kingsford Public Safety, the reported cause of the fire was due to an E-Bike explosion inside of the residence. One person was trapped inside the residence and was later pronounced deceased.
Two other residents escaped with unknown injuries. Several pets were also found deceased inside the residence.
Responding agencies include: Kingsford Public Safety, Iron Mountain Fire Department, Integrity Care EMS, Iron Mountain Police Department, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, DTE, and WE Energies
