EAST KINGSFORD, Mich. -On 8/18/2026, at approximately 2:23pm, emergency services were dispatched for a residential structure fire within the area of Withworth Avenue.
From a press release by Kingsford Public Safety, the fire was in the garage, which spread to the rest of the residence. The neighboring residence sustained smoke and water damage. The residence is a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown. At 7:30pm Kingsford Public Safety cleared the scene.
All occupants escaped the structure with no reported injuries, but one firefighter was transported to Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson for smoke inhalation.
