IRON MOUNAIN, Mich. – Emergency responders responded to a vehicle crash involving a power pole along US-2 near the newly opened Seven Brew.
The crash occurred around 5:30pm, Iron Mountain Fire Department, Iron Mountain Police Department and Integrity Care EMS initially responded to the crash. The crash prompted emergency crews to block the eastbound lanes of US-2.
Upon arrival, emergency crews reported that the vehicle was hot, and power lines were still energized, prompting Iron Mountain Fire Department to request WE Energies emergent.
Approximately an hour after the request was submitted, WE Energies arrived on scene. Utility crews deenergized the power lines, allowing fire crews to access the rest of the vehicle.
